In a shared environment, ACT! by Sage 2008 licenses will work with up to 10 users. If you intend to leverage the benefits of the premium edition, or have a database with more than 10 users, you must purchase ACT! by Sage 2008 Premium.
Be sure to review the latest ACT system requirementsbefore purchasing. This is to ensure your system is compatible, and your hardware is acceptable prior to purchasing.
STEP 1: Choose A Product
ACT! by Sage 2008. Environments with 10 or less ACT users, this can be shared across the network, but doesn't have as robust databse synchronization or advanced scheduling features as the Premium tier products.
ACT by Sage Premium 2008. This is suitable for small offices all the way to 100+ users. It comes in two Editions, 'EX' (SQL Express), and 'ST' (SQL Standard). If you want mobility, this allows for more flexibility of database synchronization for those outside the office, as well as greater security functionality.
ACT! Premium for Web provides contact and customer management users with anytime, anywhere access to centralized, secure data – enabling remote, traveling, or office-based users access to information in real time through a Web browser.
ACT! Premium Dual Access.The best of both worlds...ACT! by Sage Premium for Workgroups and ACT! by Sage Premium for Web sold with a single serial number for a reduced price. Included is ACT! Busines Care, priority access to senior product support specialists, and product upgrades and updates for 12 months.

John has a 4 user ACT environment, and wants to upgrade ACT to the latest version, taking advantage of some promotional Corporate License pricing. He can qualify in one of three ways:
1.) He can purchase 4 ACT by Sage 2008 upgrade licenses (2 points each), and since he is anticipating hiring someone else in the near future, (not to mention the great pricing available) he decides to purchase one additional ACT by Sage 2008 full license (2 points) = 10 points. GOODVALUE
2.) He decides he wants the additional features found in the Premium tier, so he orders 4 ACT by Sage 2008 Premium EX upgrade licenses (4 points each) = 16 points. BETTER VALUE
3.) He wants to take advantage of the promotion, and lock in upgrade pricing for next year, so he adds Upgrade Assurance to his 4 ACT by Sage 2008 upgrade licenses (1 per license). 2 points each item = 16 points.BESTVALUE
